Nick is very well known to Wirral and Merseyside audiences having been born in Liverpool, now performing regularly as a free-lance cellist with the RLPO and Liverpool Session Orchestra and as the organiser of the Williamson Art Gallery Summer Serenade series of concerts.
It is very exciting that he will be playing as the concerto soloist with Orchestra dell’Arte on Saturday evening 15th October in Heswall Hall.
For this, the first event of our Arts Festival, Nick will perform the wonderfully lyrical Concerto for Violoncello and Orchestra by Dvorak. For the rest of the concert, artistic director and conductor, Edward Peak, has chosen the well-known eighth Symphony by Dvorak for the second half of the evening and, very appropriately, the Festive Overture by Shostakovich to open this very special two week period of activities in and around Heswall.
Tickets for this concert are £15 and will be available after 1st September from Linghams Booksellers in Heswall or can be reserved by calling 0151 336 3618. Souvenir programme booklets covering all Festival events for the two weeks will also be for available for sale from September. Meanwhile do check the website regularly for the latest news and programme updates: www.heswallfestival.com
