From the autumn, on the first Monday of the month, players from the orchestra and their guests hope to resume their short lunchtime concerts at The Atkinson on Lord Street – cake and coffee served from 12.30pm music commences at 1.00pm. So why not take a short break for some easy listening over a cup of tea or coffee?

Jeff Rimmer and Dell’Arte soloists will be showcasing quartets for Flute and Strings by Mozart, Rossini and Crusell. And maybe a surprising extra?

Todays’ highlight: the wonderfully tuneful American string quartet by Dvorak. Mozart provides the starter with quartet K157
